Job Description:
The Junior Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and reliability of all factory equipment, machinery, and electronic systems. This role includes troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation issues, as well as carrying out preventive, predictive, maintenance in a timely manner.
As a Junior Maintenance Technician, you are required to ensure that all technical activities within the factory are performed in accordance with the Jord ISO system. Safety across the fabrication office, shop, and yard is the top priority and must never be compromised. You are also responsible for ensuring that all equipment is consistently always maintained and kept in proper working condition.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Plan periodic & preventive maintenance schedule to identify machine abnormalities and prepare for servicing works.
- Plan shutdown maintenance to maintain machinery in a good working condition for better performance to support productivity targets.
- Identify root cause and perform troubleshooting and generate improvement plan.
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly reports on plant machinery performance and service records.
- Servicing Cranes, Welding M/c. Bevelling M/c. & Grinding Tools & Wiring.
- All Electronic & Electrical board servicing and repairing.
- Initiate ideas and solution for higher productivity, quality and safety.
- Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specification.
- Supporting in supervision of assembly of air coolers including assistance in E&I wiring connection, trial assembly and factory acceptance testing (“FAT”).
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate under the direction of the Management.
Job Requirement:
- Preferably Technical School background
- At least two years of hands-on working experience read and understand related to engineering, design, and fabrication of process equipment industry i.e Air-Cooled Heat Exchanger
- Ability to operate industrial equipment such as hand wrenches, welding set, power tools, cutting torch etc.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret complex information and troubleshoot issues during repairs, including technical drawings, mechanical assemblies, wiring diagrams, and electrical and electronic circuit board.
- Ability to implement all safe work and lockout procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of organizational methods and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Possess an Electrical Certificate as issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga is an added advantage
