Responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and compliance of Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP), Scrubber, and Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) systems to ensure environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements are met. Accountable for system reliability, chemical handling, process optimization, and continuous improvement to support safe and sustainable manufacturing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor WWTP systems to ensure efficient day-to-day treatment processes and compliance with environmental regulations
- Perform routine inspections, rounds, and readings for WWTP, Scrubber, and UPW systems, including visual checks and parameter monitoring
- Execute sampling activities, analyze results, and prepare regulatory compliance reports; initiate corrective actions for any deviations
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues across WWTP, Scrubber, and UPW systems to ensure system stability and minimize downtime
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for treatment systems, pumps, valves, instruments, and associated equipment
- Manage chemical handling activities including storage, usage, and disposal in accordance with safety and environmental requirements
- Monitor and manage sludge handling and disposal processes in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure availability and proper management of spare parts and consumables for facility systems
- Support contractors during maintenance, repair, and system upgrades to ensure work is carried out safely and effectively
- Maintain accurate records including daily operation logs, maintenance records, incident reports, and compliance documentation
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support site emergency preparedness and response activities related to environmental and facility systems
- Implement and sustain 6S standards in WWTP and facility areas
- Identify and propose improvements to enhance process efficiency, system reliability, environmental compliance, and cost effectiveness
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, chemical dosing, filtration, and system operations
- Knowledge of Scrubber and Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) systems and their integration with production processes
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting pumps, valves, instrumentation, and chemical systems
- Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements, reporting, and regulations
- Knowledge of chemical handling, storage, and disposal practices (MSDS, PPE, safety compliance)
- Experience in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Limble for recording daily readings and ensuring accurate data entry and reporting
Education, Certifications, Requirements:
- Diploma or higher in Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Working experience in WWTP or facilities operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, and support emergency situations as required

- Climbing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and reaching

- Must be willing to work in working environment safety helmet and safety shoes.
